Essay Instructions: I have to write an essay for my english class in which I have a B- which is unacceptable for me. The essay is worth 20% of the grade and its essential for me to get an A+ on it. I have already written a rough draft for this essay but its really poorly done and the most I would get for it would be a D+. Therefore I need you guys to write an amazing essay (in MLA format) that would get me an A+

Intructions:

In Bartleby the scrivener, Melville, the author explores a number of themes and motifs. Your job is to pick one of these themes and motifs (OR PICK ONE OF YOUR OWN) and the show the significance of that theme and how melville develops the theme or motif by looking at either the diction, characterization, imagery, tones, setting or repetition and analyzing in detail and in depth.

themes:
christian charity vs social contract, the soul sucking elements of the city, law and grace, capitalism and its dangers, walls as a metaphor for life, Eating as a metaphor for society (the one I originally planned to write it on),The dangers of strictly using reason to solve an issue, the employe vs employer relationship, seeing and perception, tragedy of a life unlived, a topic of your OWN.

Devices:
diction, metaphors, imagery, paleness, tone, diction, repetition,setting, etc (look for patterns!!)


Thats all. Im gonna upload the rough draft I made for the theme '' eating as a metaphor for life'' and you could build on the one I did, but you could also do a completely different one; it really doesnt matter and I dont care. All I care about is the quality of the paper because I NEED an A+. The one I wrote sucks and its ideas are extremely vague and the quotes are false so if you chose to continue mine make sure you imporve it almost 100%.

For each article include the critic's name, the title of the article, the critic's main thesis, how he(she) supports it and what you think. Be specific.
The journal explicator is very annoying since all the titles are just the titles of the stories. It's the only journal that does that, and it's not very scholarly.
