Essay Instructions: Topic: Compare and contrast John Locke's theory of natural law, natural rights and a divided government, with Thomas Hobbes' philosophy of conservative authoritarianism, and their influence on American constitutionalism.

This research paper, which is for a political science class, is an examination of the topic. It must be ANALYTICAL, not descriptive. Eight pages in length (double spaced) not including bibliography, using MLA system.
The sources(at least 6 sources)can be books and on-line sources, but books are preferred. No encyclopedias can be used for reference. Finally, I would like a bibliography/works cited sent with the paper.
