Title: Pay for Play for Major College Athletes

  • Total Pages: 9
  • Words: 2335
  • References:7
  • Citation Style: MLA
  • Document Type: Research Paper
Essay Instructions: My research paper is to determine whether college athletes should be fairly compensated for their play. This topic is mainly geared toward the sports that make the majority of that department?s money, such as men?s football and basketball. It is a major issue in today's sporting society. The argument against paying players is that they receive scholarships for a college education. The argument for paying players is that they risk their bodies and work hard and that ends up bringing in so much money for their athletic departments. Many people believe that it does not matter since these athletes will make their money in the professional level, but even in a lot of the major college football programs these players do not end up making NFL teams.

I am looking for 75% percent of the references to be scholarly articles. I am uploading the topic outline that has references for several of these scholarly articles about the topic. The sections of the paper are the Introduction, Abstract, Review of the literature, Body of Paper, Conclusions and Solutions, and References.
