What so professional writers and reviewers have to say abour this novel? What do they choose to study about the novel? What do they see in the novel? Are there any negative reviews and criticisms? What did they find weak about the novel? What are some of the more interesting responses to the novel?

PERSONAL EVALUATION (one page):
What did you enjoy the most about this novel and this author''s writing? Why? What are your favorite scenes and passages? What did you find weak abour this novel

Essay Instructions: four page essay on the various motivation of the character Jing-mei from the short-fiction story "Two Kinds" by Amy Tan. In addition to motivations like love, fear, angry, powerful, etc., be sure to analyze the manner in which that character is movtivated by her cultural content. Use two or three credible, outside sources to your claims.

Make sure the thesis states something about the character Jing-mei motivations that also includes her cultural content. The two outside sources must support your claims and quote and cite any words that are not your own, and cite any ideas that are not your own. Also use relevant quotations from the short story to support your points and explain the quotation's significance. Use at least three or four.

Organization: there sould be a clear, concise thesis at the end of the induction and a topic sentence that concise with the thesis for every topic sentence at the beginning of every paragraph.

Keep your tone serious and formal in this essay, and do not use "I" and avoid referring to the reader as "you."

Essay Instructions: This is a literature research paper analysis, for english 1302. I would like the paper to be about Amy Tan's short story "TWO KINDS" involving two themes:the american dream, and mother-daughter relationships. The thesis would be about how "two kinds" emphasizes the mother-daughter relationships, and the american dream. This thesis should be of course what the paper is going to be written about.
