Essay Instructions: First by beginning to look at the purpose of the statement, what airlines are becoming more enviromentally friendly. Which airlines are opposed to going green? What are the cost of going green, is there an advantage or disadvantage to companies? What analysis's are companies using to determine the consequences of not becoming enviromentally friendly verus going green? What evidence has been found to be a positive motivations can be found and put into effect? What other reasons maybe effected if airlines decided that going green could effect their profit margin? Do stockholders have a say in deciding that an airline should attempt to go green? Does the enviromental protection agency have a position with the airlines and pressuring the airlines to change, by encouraging airlines to recycle, looking at alternatives to enegy use and consumption. What about the use of alternative fuels, is it possible or would cost be prohibitive? Are there other countries who encourage airlines to become enviromentally friendly? Is there outside pressure given to the Federal Aviation Administration?
This paper should be descriptive and analytical, not prescriptive.
