Title: World War II

  • Total Pages: 6
  • Words: 1653
  • Bibliography:5
  • Citation Style: APA
  • Document Type: Essay
Essay Instructions: Thesis statement: There is a common notion that the war in 1939 is a continuation of the war that ended in 1918. The Second World WarSecond World WarSecond World War was in fact a return to the unfinished business of the First World WarFirst World WarFirst World War. That's why they are numbered I and II. The idea of a progression from World War I to World War II is unavoidable. The same nation, Germany is the belligerent most actively responsible for both wars. In the 1914 conflict, it was based out of alliances and panic, along with fear of not making the first move. In 1939 however, it was the result of a methodical plan of one man, Adolf Hitler.

Two required references below, plus at least three (3) more of the writer's choosing. Both from "Contemporary Europe A History" by Wilkinson & Hughes.

Pg. 279 - The war was the climax of five years of blundering and bluff, of the irresolute diplomacy of the Western powers pitted against Hitler's demonic force and unswerving dedication to his goal.

Pg. 281 - In March 1935, Hitler formally announced that he would no longer abide by the disarmament clauses of the Treaty of Versailles.

My requirements for my draft/initial/rough draft bibliography which I needed like yesterday are that it must have at the very least eight references/sources. Those sources/references must be twice as many primary as secondary. Out of the primary references/sources one each must come from the New York Times and the Times of London.

The primary references/sources, The New York Times and The Times of London, are required while the secondary sources/references especially/particularly the Mary Fulbrook books are recommended. Another Mary Fulbrook book they could use is "The Divided Nation: A History Of Germany: 1918 - 1990".
The appointment of Adolf Hitler as German Chancellor, rely primarily upon newspapers, especially The New York Times and The Times of London. In your paper, you will both discuss the significance of the day in the larger context of European history and reflect on how individuals experienced this day at this time. You should also compare a contemporary perspective on that day to the way that historians see it now. Illustrate it against the background of the Nazi's electoral results in the German elections of 1932. There MUST be twice as many primary as secondary references/sources. Two of the primary sources/references MUST be The New York Times and The Times of London. The following MUST be used as three of the secondary references/sources: Mary Fulbrook, "A Concise History of Germany", Second Edition; Mary Fulbrook (editor), "German History Since 1800"; and Martin Kitchen, "A History of Modern Germany: 1800 - 2000". 14 - 21 footnotes. Number the pages. I would like the following person/writer to do this; Writer’s Username: zach_feral
