The term ?Hybrid Manager? is now rather out-of-date (it was in vogue at least 10 years ago). But has anyone come up with a new term for this sort of role? Most people would probably agree that the role still exists, but it may have altered.

Your task is to research both the current position in industry and current opinion in academia. For example, you might do the following:
? Compare the original definition of ?hybrid manager? with the current equivalent
? Analyse current opinion ? different perspectives ? does industry opinion differ from academia?
? Evaluate the current situation and look into the future (will this role change, will it still exist?)
? Reflect on your own role in relation to what you have learnt from your research analysis and evaluation

You might want to structure your argument this way, and use these as headings but please do not regard this as restrictive.
