Identify the Student's Behavior

The student's behavior is focusing on how their condition (i.e. attention deficit disorder) is negatively affecting their relationship with others in the class and the teacher. This is problematic, as they have not learned constructive ways to deal with their issues or how to use specific strategies to address these challenges. Over the course of time, this has a negative impact on them by changing their attitudes and making it difficult to interact with their peers and educators. This is the point, they can become disconnected with everyone else and fall behind the class. (Jordan, 2011) (Scott, 2010)

The student's problem behavior is for their inability to focus for long periods of time. This makes it difficult for them to concentrate and quietly listen to different ideas. Instead, they will misbehave and act out. This disrupts the class and it makes it difficult for them to connect with others in the process.

The data is showing that these children have a 62% chance of falling behind the class. This hurts their ability to work with others and understand the material. After a while, this will help to support beliefs about how they are stupid, versus having some kind of learning disability. In many case, educators will punish them, without understand the extent of the problem or the impact it is having on them. (Jordan, 2011) (Scott, 2010)

The environment and setting require the student engaging in the activities assigned by the teacher. This means that they have to be able to listen and carefully follow the instructions. At the same time, they must work with other students and maintain friendly relations with them. (Jordan, 2011) (Scott, 2010)

The functional assessment is showing how educators need to have a better understanding in identifying these kinds of behaviors. At the same….....
