Education to both addicts and non-addicts is important since it discourages those people who have not started taking drugs and informs those who are addicted on the consequences they are likely to face.

The government should facilitate the setting up of more businesses so us to provide employment opportunities for ex-addicts who are undergoing treatment and those who have completed treatment. This will make their minds to be occupied with important things which are constructive to them rather than being idle which leads them to indulge in bad habits such as drug abuse.

The government should crack down on all sources of these drugs including their farms where drugs are planted so as to reduce on the supply of drugs across the country.

Parents should also keep an eye on their children by monitoring the friends they have and guide them on which kind of friends they should associate with and the ones they should avoid so as not to join bad company.

The government should introduce teachings on drug abuse in schools in such a way that it is mandatory in the curriculum of all schools in all states. When this is done, students will be aware on the impacts of drug abuse from their childhood and they will grow up knowing how dangerous it is to abuse drugs hence reducing the numbers of addiction.

The government should also open more rehabilitation centers across the country so that the affected people across the country can be taken there for advice and treatment hence reducing the number of the addicts in the country.

Penalties; Smith Phillip (2012) indicates that the government should also hand stiff penalty to anybody who is found using hard drugs in the country since its illegal and against the law. Anybody found guilty of abusing drugs should be taken to court hence charged a fine hence discouraging other addicts.
Final analysis

There is hope to reduce usage of drugs but not to curb totally when new ideas are implemented. The government is the one to be held responsible because it is supposed to create employment opportunities for the people and fund the education programs on drug abuse.
