This means that designers do not have the ultimate control, as they have had for centuries in other printed matter. The user now has the ultimate control, and they can alter the aspects of a Web page at the click of a mouse.

Internet typography has evolved from very simple fonts and colors on a plain background, to intensely graphic and easy to navigate Web sites that draw the user in to a totally unique and visual experience. Colors, textures, and variations are endless, and typography is really still in the infant stages on the Internet, so it is clear there will be many more innovations to come. Internet typography has revolutionized how the world accesses information, and it is one of the most important developments of the information age. It will be extremely interesting to see where typography goes in the future on the Internet, and it will be interesting to see how designers continue to make improvements in the look and feel of Internet typography.

What is the future of Internet typography? Some innovations have not panned out, as another expert notes. He writes, "There have been methods of loading fonts across the Internet and imbedding fonts in websites, but they were unreliable and have been abandoned. Some people predict that this technology will become available again and cause a boom in the typography industry" (Waefer). In addition, Flash technology is being used to develop custom typography that can be viewed on any computer, regardless of the fonts located on the computer. Some of these innovations use typefaces stored online that download automatically when a user reaches the page. It is clear that the technology of typography will continue to improve, making more typefaces and design items available on the Internet, on home computers, and throughout electronic devices.
In conclusion, the Internet is a new way of looking at and discovering information, and because of that, Internet typography has to become a new way of disseminating that information. It is essentially a type of visual thinking that transcends print media and traditional reading. Because of this, graphic designers need to look at typography in a new way, and develop typographies that draw the reader into the page and create new and innovative ways of presenting information. Internet typography has revolutionized the information we retrieve every day, and it is quite clear that it will continue to evolve in the fruiter. It is safe to say that Internet typography is really still in its infancy, and as it continues to evolve, it will change the very face of the Internet.
