Modern trends keep changing and their length of time within the society depends on a lot of factors. Of most significance here is how these trends turn from oblivion into being trends. The contemporary society has a lot of idol worship. This comes in the form of people identifying a figure that they identify with and try to do things like them, this then pushes the emergence of trends. The same applies to known fashion designers or famous producers of some goods or items. Advertisements also create trends which can be largely followed within a society fro some time. Trends can also emanate from new innovations that cut across a wide population.

Therefore, modern trends and myths are closely tied and are used to represent ideas about people, the world they live in, and their beliefs. Myths are used to help people comprehend why certain things are the way they are and what humanity can do with such things. However, certain myths just remain an interface. Myths are passed on to generations just because human beings are ever-changing transitory. Myths just like human beings live. Media personalities and active revolutionaries have modern myths in their lips, brains, and their knife points (Curcio, 2011).
This term paper seeks to investigate popular cultures by discussing modern mythologies with a view to establishing how advertisers work to persuade the masses.

Societies that have embraced modernity do consider myths as historical entities. However, it is a reality that most of the present day undertakings in developed and developing world have integrated mythological discourses. This is evident in modern formats of communication. In fact, individuals in different geographical locations can communicate in real time something that has led to exchange of a great deal of information among different audiences. This has helped enhance mythological discourses than ever before.

Myriad elements of myths can now be watched from the television sets, cinema halls, and from the video games. Movies are popular with the young, the elderly and the old. Technology that the film industry has embraced has revolutionized the way myths are transmitted.
