Future in Business and Fashion: My Personal Statement

When you know that you want something, you've just got to go for it. At least, that's what my parents always said to me. When you're young, you think that things like this are cliche. Sure, you're supposed to say that, you're my parents. Right? Parents are supposed to be there to uphold your dreams and lift you up so high that you don't realize how far you're supposed to fall...until you do. That's the attitude of a young person toward their parents and all of their wisdom.

Fortunately, I am now an adult and I'm able to see the light, so to speak. I know that my parents were not just spouting off at the mouth and what they said to me for so long was true: if you want something for yourself, sitting back and waiting for it to happen just won't do. If you don't go for it, you will never get it. Well, that is what I am doing. Business and fashion are what I do. Business and fashion are what I want. Unfortunately, today's economy demands that you have the proper education for a career endeavor such as this.

There is no ending without a beginning, so let's start at the beginning. I have traveled around the world and the many cultures I have been exposed to have certainly helped to shape me and who I am as well as what I aspire to today.
I was born in London, England to a British mother and a Turkish father. As a result, I went to middle school in Turkey. This was a big change for me, but little did I know that there was another change in store of a similar nature.

As soon as I got used to the seeming strangeness of going to a Turkish school, we moved and I was forced to readjust. I attended a Swiss high school. While attending a Swiss high school wasn't exactly my idea of a good time and it certainly wasn't the type of life change I was looking forward to, it turned out to be one of the best decisions that was ever made on my behalf. I am a firm believer that your teenage years are the most formative years to our development as human beings, and my Swiss high school experience truly helped to shape me, my ideas and views on the world, and help me turn into a more mature and responsible human being.

The school that I went to left you no choice but to mature and become an independent human being.….....
