perfect candidate for a non-technical human resources position at Westinghouse. I will graduate from Robert Morris University in May 2014 with a B.S.B.A in Human Resources and Marketing. I have studied courses in recruiting, retention, training, compensation and benefits, as well as courses related to marketing. I intend to begin my career as a Human Resources generalist.

I have previous experience with Westinghouse, having written my final project in Organizational Communications on the company. For that project, I interviewed Camille Kovach, the Vice President of Human Resources, Operations and Global Training & Development. I went away from that experience very impressed with Westinghouse as a business, and as a place to work. This application is a direct result of having seen what Westinghouse is and wanting to be a part of that.

An active ROTC cadet, I have a lot more to offer than just a degree. I have been described as diligent, hard-working and disciplined. These are traits that I developed in response to challenges as a child and have served me well throughout my studies. I am also detail-oriented and a natural leader. In my service to my country, I have refined these attributes. Life as a cadet is hard but rewarding, and I am a better candidate for having learned the value of discipline, humility and teamwork.

The President of Robert Morris University placed me on the search committee for the school's first Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. I was entrusted with this responsibility because of my leadership on diversity issues at the school. I have always valued diversity, and had a chance to work first-hand with other cultures when as a cadet I was selected to represent the United States on a trip to Ha Noi, Vietnam, where I taught senior Vietnamese army officers English as part of my role. Upon my return I was offered the opportunity to help in the search for and selection of the Diversity and Inclusion Officer, a task that also included contributing to crafting the job description for the position. I was also named the Multicultural Mentor of the Year in 2012 for my work as a peer counsellor helping foreign students to adjust to American culture.

I also bring diversified work experience to Westinghouse. I have undertaken a number of different marketing roles, including campaigns for Mercedes-Benz and Cadillac, as well as managing the social media platforms for the School of Business at Robert Morris.

My experiences and personality traits are exactly what Westinghouse looks for in a human resources candidate. Having conducted recruitment and training already, I know what it takes to succeed in human resources. I have the right degree, and my time with the ROTC has ensured that I will enter Westinghouse with the drive, determination and discipline needed to excel.

I am graduating in May 2014 with a B.S.B.A. In Marketing and Human Resources, and I am seeking a position that matches my love of challenge and my prior experience The RDP is a perfect way for me to get into the financial business, and with my marketing and leadership expertise I will be a natural fit with Edward Jones.
