But religions aren't the most important in Montgomery county. There also are other things which are very important too. For example, the Montgomery County Archives which collects, preserves, and makes available for public use historical and evidential materials relating to Montgomery County. Its holdings consist of official records of county, and local governmental units, and copies of federal and foreign government materials. Besides the official records, we can also mention "private collections, organization records, maps, pamphlets, sound recordings, photographs, motion picture film, and a small reference library" among other sources of information.

There also are a lot of interesting and beautiful places to visit in Montgomery County, a lot of places where one can find precious things to see. Some of them are: Trinity Music Academy, The Montgomery Community Theatre, Montgomery Arts and History Club. All these are important for the county because they kind of represent its pride.

The Economy of Montgomery County was based, until a few years ago, on textiles and lumber products, but time has changed and now things are different. Now, the Montgomery Economic Development Corporation works with the county and individual towns to assist local business and industry and to recruit new industry to the county in order to develop it..

Traditionally, until a few years ago, Montgomery County's economy has been dependent on textiles and lumber products. With the decline of textiles the county's future depends on helping the existing industries to develop, find niche markets and diversifying the industrial base so that things can go better. In a proactive move the county commissioners adopted an incentive plan in 1998 that is based on new jobs and investment that has allowed the county to be competitive. Also, the Montgomery County Committee of 100 was formed in 1996 to support and enhance local economic development efforts because they couldn't do it all by themselves and they had to be more organized.
. Their Shell Building program has built and sold two industrial shell buildings and has brought new investment and jobs to the county, and this is the most important of all, as the county needs to be competitive and powerful. The Committee of 100, working with the towns and utility companies have completed the rigorous process to have two industrial sites certified by the North Carolina Department of Commerce and this helps the county develop itself better than before.
