The predominant color of the piece of advert is blue, which is a color that is often associated with sobriety and calmness. This indicates that the step of donation is voluntary and conscious. At the very bottom is the name of the collection center written in bold and bigger fonts than all the other writings. This shifts the attention of the viewer from only the donation request to the organization that is conducting this drive. This will solidify the credibility of the campaign as the organization concerned is reliable and well founded hence encourage more people to donate.

The advert is intended for the local members of the society who may be having things that they do not use or need yet it is stuffed in the house. The age of the target audience is of all ranges, from the young to the old since they all may have even a pair of shoes they do not use yet it may be of help to those in necessity. The most preferred publication to be used in passing out the advert is a community monthly that circulates majorly among the members of the community.
There will also be posters pinned on the notice boards of the common areas and malls that the members of the community usually frequent.

The response intended to be evoked among the audience is identification with the mermaid first as a figure of philanthropy and salvaging any object from waste.
