As noted on the JP Morgan's own website, the evolution of the credit derivatives market has shifted the entire technology agenda into the banking environment because of the creation of electronic markets. A full understanding of how recent changes in technology can be related to international economics and development is thus critical to success in the field of consulting.

I believe I can offer a unique combination of technical, business, and personal skills to JP Morgan that relate directly to the interrelationship of technology, structural development, and international economics. My background in the electrical and structural aspects of engineering, my personal and social education in Europe, and my familiarity with business culture and terms would all make me a valuable asset to JP Morgan.

In September of 2002, I graduated with honors in Civil Electronic Engineering from the Free University of Brussels (V.U.B.). This background in engineering has given me an understanding, not just of technology but also of the importance of building new economic and technological structures, rather than to simply understand pre-existing and antiquated systems. This is why I am so interested in becoming a part of the business technology and infrastructure at JP Morgan, because there I will be able to fuse the breadth of my own technical and business knowledge with my knowledge about developing technological and business structures.

My assets are not only intellectual.
My multicultural upbringing as well as my education would make me at ease in an international setting with a variety of clients. My mother tongue is French and my education was conducted in Dutch. Upon leaving University I decided to improve my English. To do so, I spent six months in Australia, where I attended an intensive Business English course. This was followed by four-month's duration in Spain, where I took an intensive Spanish course. I consider myself fluent not only in all these languages, but fluent in the different attitudes, milieus, and cultures of these European and English-speaking nations.

As educational mentor in an international youth movement until 1996, I had the opportunity to further improve my communication skills in a number of languages, as well as effectively lead and participate in organizational decision-making processes for over two hundred and fifty children in Antwerp, Belgium. Implementing creative solutions for the benefit of the group provided me with a sense of the importance of diplomacy. It made me appreciate efficient, multi-cultural and multi-lingual teamwork that would, I trust, stand me in good stead at JP Morgan.
