He writes, "Barack Obama has charisma and charm but in terms of character, values and understanding, he is no Jackie Robinson... The basic difference between Sen. Obama, Wright and leftist professors is simply a matter of style and language" (Williams). He adds the major problems of the black community are "family breakdown, illegitimacy, fraudulent education and a high rate of criminality. To confront these problems... requires political courage and that's an attribute that Obama and most other politicians lack" (Williams). Williams realizes there is no substance to Obama.

I think McCain will win because when it comes down to the nuts and bolts of things, most Americans do not want more of their money taken away from them. Everyone knows that Democrats love to raise taxes and Obama did not say that raising taxes was out of the question. He tries to make it sound like he will only tax the rich but he is already lowering the 250,000 income number that he first started with. I believe that Americans will get over their need for some sort of messianic leader to solve their problems.
Both men are politicians and Americans must realize that no politician, political party, or president can radically change their lives - that must come from within. Obama does not have the knowledge he needs to run a country with other countries. In the debate, he did not give a clear answer about the threat to Israel; he simply echoed McCain. I think most Americans will finally wake up to this fact and make the right choice based on leadership qualities and not charisma.
