DNP-prepared nurse, there is likelihood of encountering several different methods of disseminating the findings and implications of an evidence-based project. The existence of varying methods for presentation of findings and implications of an evident-based project is fueled by the unique benefits of each method. Therefore, the DNP-nurse should be careful when choosing his/her method of presenting findings and implications through thorough analysis and consideration of the unique benefits of each method. It is important for the nurse to conduct such analysis in order to enhance chances of delivering effective presentations. Moreover, the need to choose an effective presentation method by a DNP-prepared nurse is attributed to the fact that these professionals are uniquely qualified to lessen the gap between research and practice (Vincent et al., 2010, p.28).

Generally, there is a wide range of opportunities and methods that can be used by DNP-prepared nurses to disseminate the findings and implications of an evidence-based project. One of the measures that can be used is article publication based on extensive research and literature review. According to Bradley, McSherry & McSherry (2010), the publication of academic journals is an important activity for educational researchers.
This is because of the common practice of circulation of published summaries of final reports and research findings. However, for a DNP-prepared nurse, article publication or written summaries may not be effective in delivering a presentation. This is primarily because scientific journals, written summaries, and publications do not necessary influence practice. These publications are not effective in influencing practice since the research is considered by some medical professionals as an activity conducted by research units or university department rather than an important professional in the health care sector.

Oral presentations are regarded as the most effective medium for delivering the findings of DNP projects. The effectiveness of oral presentations is mainly because they deal with some of the challenges and shortcomings of the other approaches of delivery the findings of DNP projects. This kind of presentation is effective since it influences practice by making evidence-based contribution to the existing nursing knowledge and nursing practice.
