The targets of this facility is the older generation who are often suffering from several ailments and need long-term care nursing services. It also targets people with temporary and permanent disabilities either inborn or resulting from ailments such as diabetes.

Sources of the Finance for the facility

Willow oak nursing is a profit making institution and get some of its finances form Medicaid and the rest from the clients' contribution. Old people of age 65 and over are valid to be covered by the Medicaid. It also covers medical care expense for people of a younger age than 65 with certain disabilities.

Evaluation of the System

Since the facility is financed by Medicaid there are several codes of regulations that it needs to adhere to as requirement for participation in provision of long-term care nursing services. To start with, the facility must adhere to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. The actions of the employees on the patients privacy is measured against Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) approves it. It is therefore mandated to follow the regulations of offering medical care to the by JCAHO whose aim is to ensure excellence service delivery Beaulieu, 2001()

To ensure that the facility is bent on meeting its goal and offering first class services to the resident, surveys are occasionally carried out by surveyors to determine the patient needs and give recommendations on how these needs can be best met Allen, 2011.

It also selects a committee to review its services once in a while.
It is also supervised by the government officials and accreditation board regularly.

Conclusion

The willow Oak Nursing home is committed towards the fulfillment of its mission on offering credible service to its residents. Such a facility is important in surviving the community since a large population is now aging and getting into an age bracket which requires long-term care. The facility therefore need to be formerly structured and management to satisfy the need of the patients. There is need for more government involvement especially in funding to ensure that its residents get access to such health care services.
