Applying the Burke-Litwin Model

The Burke-Litwin Model is also called a Causal Model of Organizational Performance and Change. The Burke-Litwin Model is used to determine how the external and international factors influence production and sustainability of an organization. Many factors are of interest when it comes to management of productivities within and outside organizations. With the use of the Burke-Litwin Model, organizations will be able to access and use strategic options that elicit the difference between productivity and influences of the internal and external factors. The Burke-Litwin Model provides a framework used to assess the organizational and environmental dimensions that are noteworthy in gauging success within organizations. Success is a lucrative achievement in every organization. As depicted by the use of Burke-Litwin Model, organizational dimensions should be linked in order to avoid externalities that threaten productivity. Change in performance should be achieved in order to mark what is called diversity and continuity of the organizational productivity lines (Burke, 2010).

There are different facets that effect on productivity of an organization. One of them is the external environment in which productivity is central and evident. The Burke-Litwin Model exemplifies approaches that are used to provide linkages within organizations and channels of productivity in order to access easy ways of producing and maintaining productivity. The Burke-Litwin Model is a guide material driving organizations into realizing diagnosis and planned changes and goals. Moreover, the Burke-Litwin Model is a straightforward tool used to depict on cause-and-effect relationships in organizations and organizational productivity.

As used in the case study, Burke-Litwin Model is a generative model that has been employed by the organization in order to deal with cases involving gender equality and inequality. With the use of the Burke-Litwin Model, the case study has exemplified on various analysis and descriptions together with extraction of lessons derived from a collaborative action research. The aim of the research project is to exemplify and strengthen the effectiveness within organizations and other tools of production.
As part of describing and analyzing the existence and performance of the international organization in Mexico, the case study has applied Burke-Litwin Model to analyse the orientation of culture and its effects on the rates of production within the organization.

With the use of the Burke-Litwin Model, the case study has relayed a number of facets that have been undertaken by the organization in order to seek a balance of gender and equity between members working in international and national organizations. The case has focused on the organizational culture and its effects on altering productivity within the organization. The organizational effectiveness encourages equitable balance of gender in order to foster a balanced rate and avenue of production. In other words, change of work practices and processes is directed at establishing a palatable ground where gender equality is assured within an organization. Moreover, the application of Burke-Litwin Model is evident in the Gender Staffing Program of the Consultative Group for International Agriculture Research and Centro International de Mejoramiento de Maiz Trigo organizations (Sharma, 2007).

All the external factors that are perceived to have an impact on the general productivity of an organization should be established. Such factors have direct and indirect influence on productivity within organizations.

Mission and strategy

The vision and mission statements stipulated by an organization should be focused. Such connotations have immediate and long-term influence on the rate of productivity of an organization.

Leadership

Leadership is an internal facet that influences the production type and production process within an organization. Therefore, it is important to have mechanisms that ensure equitable control and management of leadership for productivity.

Organizational culture

The culture within an organization should endeavour at seeking regulations, rules, principles, customs, and other principles that play a key role in influencing performance of an organization.
