Furthermore he states that the person who rules the state must be a person of great power and can be beneficial for eveyrone. He compares this to the founder of sparta and athens, who created the consitution themselves. Aristotle observed that those men were the cause of great benefits for their city. If all the authority lay in the hands of a single person, it could be crafted into a masterpiece. According to aristotle, the main power should remain with the ruler so that he can make observations. Politicians should have the power to follow the constiution set by the ruler and govern the people. The politicians should be made answerable to no one else but the ruler. It would be easier for the ruler to delegate tasks through the politicians. Aristotle strongly felt that a ruler could guide the people as he knew what was best for them. He hoped for a society where the commonwealth had some dominant royal elements, an aristocracy with some powers and people who could make decisions and judgments on certain matters. Cicero believed that sharing the power equally amongst the people of a city state could allow it to prosper. It would allow for universal rule. Cicero believed that people should not be divided. They should work together irrespective of their classes.
He felt that people should be assimilated together to work for the future of their society. Cicero believed that people should be universal and not judged as being part of a particular society. Cicero noted that it would be better to have a republic than a democracy. A republic should follow the example of Rome. It should have a senate, a ruler as well as an assembly of people who could make and execute decisions. Cicero rightfully felt that the executive, aristocratic and general bodies could work together as authoritarian figures. They would have no choice but to work together. Cicero did not believe in inequality and was a firm supporter of equality amongst genders.

Conclusion

All these philosophers believed that it is important for the citizens of a society to obey the authorities. The authorities are the ones who set the rules for everything. They know what's best for the people. This is the common ground the philosophers have found. Their views may differ on everything else but this is the logical thing to do. They believe that citizens should help improve their society. In order to have a perfect balance in society, we need some form of authority. The philosophers demonstrate their points-of-view. Socrates believes in a controlled society, while Plato believes that people should be able to do whatever they please without being pressured by the authorities. Aristotle believed in despotic rule while Cicero believed in a system where everyone could rule but be limited in power so that they would be able to control each other. To conclude they all agree that in order to have the perfect balance of authority there has to be some civilian support as well as some administrative support. A society would need some form of governance through its people despite being subjected to despotic rule......
