Cinematography Order Cinematography and Film

In the movie industry there is some very important roles in making a film from the head honcho, the executive producer, his directors, and his cinematographer, and there has to be organization and everyone doing their job in order for a movie to be considered first rate. The director has two main people under him, the art director and his cinematographer, whose main job is to operate the camera, and the camera has to be continuously ready for different shots that are taken in the different sets in the movie because the camera is the one that makes and shapes the lightening of a scene to make it match what is going on during that moment. What people see when they watch every scene in the movie is the cinematography, also known as the visual look of the movie ( ).

Furthermore just like a film has different types of cinematography attributes, one of those is built-in and external microphones, and to be more specific there are different types of microphones the filmmakers use for different types of scenes depending on what is going on in the storyline. The condenser microphone, however, is somewhat different and has many different qualities about it that a lot of cinematographers prefer to use in certain shots over other microphones that may be on the set. One advantage of this microphone is that it is somewhat smaller than most other microphones that are used in film. This equipment can provide a more resolute and apparent sound, and the microphone has added perceptiveness to faded indications than others, and it can also single out up weaker sounds and small signals. This piece of equipment can be effortlessly filled to capacity or misrepresented if one is not careful, and it is also more at risk to pick up on blustery weather and alike noises. On the other hand, the condenser microphone can become straightforwardly overworked with the loudness and intensity of some resonances which can cause it to deform moderately. While most equipment requires some type of power source, this particular film equipment uses what filmmakers will call "phantom power" meaning that it the microphone takes a small battery. These batteries are usually put inside the microphone or camera itself, or it could be set up as a "mixer control" used off camera that will be supplied in to the camera. However, in film cinematographers and other people that is helping put this movie together working in that department must remember when they are working with different types of sounds in sets and trying to decide on what microphone is best, the rule of thumb is to remember "the longer the microphone, the more directional the pickup will be," and as a universal rule one must have "the microphone as close to the source as possible" for it to work most effectively.

In cinematography, there are situations where a lot of cinematographers use blue and green lighting in their sets depending on what is going on with the other colors and elements that are going on within the scene. The lecture asks "Why Green or Blue?" And it states that the face has more red than green or blue, so it is simpler to isolate the face from what is going on behind someone. These wardrobes can be hard to select when you considering coloration of blue or green because it needs to make sure that the green or blue does not conflict with something blue or green prop or actor's clothing that could cause something to be off. In technology, another good attribute about the green screens is that noise is quieter on it so it reflects getting a clean edge on a picture and green is preferred because of it. With Waveform Monitors and Vectorscopes they assist the blue/green lighting because the monitors help measure the intensity point of on a set which means it will intensity the color and make it look clearer. When these monitors they act as a light meter that reflects off props and actors or actresses to know how much actual light is going on to that person or object. The vectorscope, however, measures the intensity of the vividness in a scene and the colors yellow, green, cyan, blue, magneta, and red. The monitor is a unique oscilloscope used in many film applications that help calculate the level, power, and film indicators within value to time. It is a unique device for helping with green and blue lighting by being able to make adjusting the brightness of the light. The vectorscope is considered the same kind of special instrument for both history in that geographical location compared to where I reside. I also think about how the operations behind the movie were made to intimate that of the mob, and even though it is not close to it or like every stereotypical mobster seems like, it is somewhat like it is wherever these types of people are carrying along mostly in the Upstate and Jersey area, yet spread over the northeast part of the United States. In the scene itself the it slowly zooms in which the dolly is moving back.

Look at the end montage sequence from "Ally McBeal." There are seven scenes (refer to pages 3 and 4, "Ally McBeal Scenes"). Pick three scenes and discuss the cinematography (camera movement, focus, colors, lighting, depth of field, composition, lenses, etc.). At the dinner table the lighting is perfect because the colors and lighting elements were in a more dim and moody gloomy look that I got the impression with that slow and sad kind of music going on in the background like when the guy is sitting in the chair getting sort of a close up shot. When the two girls are walking down the street it shows how cold it is, it tells you the time of year, and the coats with the wind blowing showing, it definitely is a winter scene and dancing in the kitchen shows what reality is like for the couple to be in their home being bright.

Public Enemy

Public Enemy was put out in theaters in 2009, yet started based in 1933 of the prisoners and what it was like in those days in history. As the scenes have this 1933 look to them because of what the building, cars, inside the prison, and other objects show the lack of technology in the film. The way the gentlemen talk in the movie gives you a good idea of where the setting takes place, and the accents and hair styles are other elements of the movie that make it interesting. The cinematography that the audience seeks from this movie is pretty good compared to what it would have looked like if it were still in 1933 films definitely did not look like that back then because that was almost 80 years ago. The first thing that made me think about this firm and it being a little off for its time was that this was not a black and white film yet a very bright one with a plot from back in that time in history.

In order for this entire movie just like every other movie to come about, there has to be different scenes to make for this movie and the story line of all the events that take place which is known as the plot. The lighting that is put on the different scenes is an element in cinematography that the cinematographers have to take seriously when they are making the movie, and if the lighting is not right it will not fill right with the audience that watches it, viewers can easily get disappointed as well as other cast and crew members while the film is being made, and it can cause the different people that are involved to not seem right for the scene. This film had a lot of great dark and lighter looking scenes that could help change the mood from one scene to another no matter what the temperament seemed like. There was a lot of different scenes in this that did not cast too much side sunny daylight scenes because of a lot of the storyline takes place in the night with gun fighting and shoot outs, sadness and anger and even rage in some of the characters, so it was not made to make people laugh, it was done this way because that was the purpose of the screen writer's idea when he wrote the movie.
