CKD Interventions Research Paper

All participants will be invited to learn more about CKD, and a one-night informational meeting will be conducted in which informational brochures will be passed out to the attendees, and will be discussed in detail. The attendees will also be provided the opportunity to give feedback (positive or negative) concerning their experiences with the early testing and how they view CKD from a current view as compared to their previous perceptions.

After all the data has been gathered and analyzed, a paper will be compiled that presents the results, along with a discussion of those results. It is hoped that the results will provide information to the medical community concerning how early testing and positive reinforcement can be effectively used during the early stages of CKD in order to lower the incidence rate of CKD. As the population of the United States grows ever older, CKD is just one medical malady that will have to be addressed. Perhaps, the approach of early diagnosis coupled with positive reinforcement can be used not only to lower the rate of CKD, but can be effectively implemented in other areas and against other diseases as well.

CKDFramework The project's framework will be loosely based on Nola Pender's DOH model. Pender's model, as presented in 1996, was designed to look at how different "behavioral cognitions and competing demands on physical activity among Taiwanese adolescents" (Tsu-Yin, Pender, 2002, p. 26). Pender's 1996 study was designed to consider how cognition, environment and action all influence the individual's health promotion efforts. This project seeks similar data and knowledge and will look at

, Sweet, Starkey, Shekelle, 2013, p. 835). Depending on whether the patient is in early-stage vs. late-stage prognosis, the patient will be offered different treatments and approaches to managing the disease and its effects. According to Qaseem et al., Stage 1 -- 3 CKD is treated in a variety of methods; different types of medicine, diets, exercise, and other treatments and approaches are all available, some with better results than others

CKD - Design Designing a study that evaluates an intervention must take several items into consideration in order to be determined as both reliable and valid; even if the study is in reality a health promotion goal, it is still necessary to treat it the same way a study would be treated. Determining what is reliable and what is valid therefore is an important step in both including those two objectives

Chronic Kidney Disease Over the last several years, the issue of chronic kidney disease has been increasingly brought to the forefront. This is because when someone becomes older, the more likely they will develop this condition. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the National Kidney Foundation, once someone reaches above the age of 50, there is a 50% of them becoming susceptible to it. As they increase in

Telehealth Strategies to Support Adolescents with Diabetes and CKD Children and youth who must undergo dialysis because of chronic kidney disease (CKD) are typically provided age appropriate educational materials for self-care. Key objectives of efforts to strengthen self-care education are the maintenance of optimally beneficial diet and, although direct evidence has not yet been shown for children, maintenance of blood pressure that is below the 90th percentile for height, age,

These clinics will have to be set up over a number of years as funding becomes available for each. It is envisioned that the combination of clinics and learning programs will help the community to achieve better overall health. Indeed, clinics that focus on the specific health issues faced by the Hispanic community will remove some of the burden from general-purpose clinics and hospitals. Conclusion In conclusion, it is projected that
