CEO and Founder of The Gingerbread House, Daycare for Children

Re: beginning my own daycare business

Dear Mr. / Ms. X:

Over the years, I have followed your successful founding of The Gingerbread House Daycare franchise with great interest. Your organization has received great attention in the local paper for its commitment to caring for young people. Your 'brand name' for this particular daycare facility has also attracted notice amongst my friends and family for its quality, affordability, and its continued service for the working families of the community.

As the potential founder of a similar kind of small business myself, I am all too aware of the difficulties of soliciting appropriate financing for the endeavor, and of marketing the business in a way that can assure parents that they are leave their children in a safe, caring, and hopefully instructive environment while they are away at work for the day. I would be interested in the route that you went in terms of beginning to create the funding structure of your organization. Any information you would feel comfortable sharing with me would be invaluable. I would also be interested in any advice you could give to me regarding insuring the faculties of a day care center and the hiring procedures necessary to recruit quality personnel to watch the children during the day.

Any additional advice you could provide, from toys to curriculum, to potential problems I may need to anticipate, to how to set the core policies of the organization (from basic fees to requiring toddlers to be toilet trained) would also be extremely helpful. I realize you are busy, but I would be glad to speak with you over the phone (my phone number is xxx-xxx-xxxx) or visit you at The Gingerbread House if that is more convenient, to discuss any advice you might have.

Thank you so much, and best wishes for the upcoming semester.

Yours truly

After meeting Ms. Aida Ortiz, CMA's Human Relations Specialist, she presented a brief overview of the office and explained the particular responsibilities my internship would encompass during the two-week period. The first "order" was to have my port ID made. After being officially identified as part of the intern program, Ms. Ortiz and I attended the 0930 morning operations meeting. After the meeting, I worked with Jackie Fisher, supervisor

This can either distort the message or prevent it from reaching all levels of the organization, which in either way can hurt the outcome of any project and ultimately the organizational goals as well. Additional barriers in communication a strategy could be the corporate culture itself when such strategies can
